County Road & Bridge
Department – OPERATOR
IIA-KIM SHOP. Under
Supervision performs
unskilled and semi-skilled
manual labor in the
construction, maintenance,
operation, and repair of
public works, equipment,
and county roads;
operates light, medium,
and heavy equipment and
heavy-duty trucks on a
regular basis. Applicant
must live within a 30-mile
radius of the Kim Shop.
High School Diploma or
GED equivalent. Two
years of responsible
experience in the
operation of small trucks
and light equipment in
construction, maintenance
or related activities is
preferred. Possession of a
valid Colorado Driver’s
License is required at date
of hire. A DMV report will
also be required if
interviewed. New hires will
be required to take a drug
test and physical as a
prerequisite to
employment. Must have
possession of and ability
to maintain a DOT Medical
Certificate. Must obtain at
a Class A CDL with air
brakes and tanker
endorsement by the end of
the 90-day probationary
period. Also, following
successful completion of
probationary period, the
successful candidate shall
be required to become a
member of the United
Mine Workers of America
Local #6126, and shall be
subject to the terms and
conditions as set forth in
said Union contract. The
initial hourly rate of
compensation for this
position shall be $14.50
per hour. Upon
satisfactory completion of
a mandatory probation
period, or extension, the
wage shall be dependent
upon license
endorsements. For further
