All patients and staff have been notified that are affected by this confirmed case.”
The district health department continued:
The Las Animas Huerfano Counties District Health Department “has vigorously encouraged all Las Animas and Huerfano County residents to practice social distancing procedures: stay home, particularly if you are sick.
“Every Coloradoan must work together to stem the spread of COVID-19.
“Anyone who reports symptoms of COVID-19 infection, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, should call their health care provider first.
“People without those symptoms do not need to be tested for COVID-19. This is allergy season, and allergy symptoms such as sneezing or itchy eyes, nose or throat do not indicate a need for testing.
“People who have non-health-related questions or concerns can also call 1-877-462-2911 or visit https://covid19.colorado.gov/, which is being updated daily.”
