Hoehne Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter is pleased to recognize several members’ outstanding accomplishments.  For the first time in nearly a decade, a Hoehne FFA member will represent the Hoehne chapter and the San Isabel District in Creed Speaking at the state competition. Trey Diemer won the district competition and will compete this July at the Colorado FFA competition in Pueblo.   

Other Leadership Development (LDE) standouts include Melecio Gutierrez, Brock Brunelli, and Trey Diemer. The three freshmen competed at the San Isabel District Quiz Bowl tournament and placed second.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Hoehne FFA chapter was forced to cancel its annual awards banquet.  It is at that time, Hoehne students are recognized for their contributions in the classroom and in the local FFA chapter.  This year’s awards are as follows.

Star awards can only be presented to students who have received their chapter degree. Star awards go to the students that have outstanding Supervised Shop Experiences (SAEs) in the following award areas: Star in Agribusiness, Star in Agriculture Placement, and Star Farmer.


— The Star Greenhand award goes to an outstanding member of the Ag-Ed I class. Star Greenhand is the highest award an Ag. I student can receive. The Star Greenhand award went to Trey Diemer.

— This years’ Chapter Star in Agribusiness was Jeremiah Montoya (Jeremiah Montoya also received a Bronze Level Proficiency Award at the State level for Landscape Management.)

— This year’s Chapter Star in Agriculture Placement was Michal Plank

— This year’s Chapter Star Farmer and Outstanding Participation award was Josh Waller.
