Primero  is tentatively planning on running a summer school program June 1 thru 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, for a total of sixteen school days. Classes will operate within total compliance of the guidelines provided to the district by the State of Colorado, the Colorado Department of Education, and Las Animas County Health Department.

There will NOT be bus transportation available due to social distancing regulations. Parents must drive their children to and from school daily. Students will be held in individual classrooms of no more than a maximum of five students per teacher.

Since space may be limited, Primero needs firm responses from parents interested in having their students participate. Emails of serious interest only should go to Principal Blake Byall at stating intention.

The Primero school district will attempt to continue operating the Summer Food Service Program for the duration of summer school. The focus of summer school programming this year will be core instruction in Math, English (Reading and Writing) and support content designed to arrest the loss of learning experienced through remote instruction.
