The Colorado Health Care Association this fall recognized Trinidad Inn’s Monica Trevino as the Social Services Professional of the Year during its annual Spotlight on Excellence.
The award was presented Oct. 22 as the association shined “a light on the outstanding efforts and contributions of those in Long Term Care,” and honored “those that make a difference in our communities and the lives of our most vulnerable.”
Trevino was a finalist with two other women in the category for Social Services Professional of the Year. The award was on of 15 disciplines recognized to “reflect the wide scope and valuable impact these dedicated individuals make each day.”
Said the association, “Each year, the Colorado Health Care Association & Center for Assisted Living hosts our awards banquet at the fall convention to celebrate those who are working to better long-term care in the state. Every year, we have hundreds of applicants, from which finalists are selected and winners are chosen across several categories.”
