August Chamber Luncheon

Each month, the Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon at the TSJC Pioneer Room for members to meet other members and also highlight one member to give a presentation, such as Sangre de Cristo Hospice President and CEO Tarrah Lowry, August’s presenter. TSJC has generously donated the space to the Chamber for the Business Expo on October 18. Mayor Phil Rico, center, informed everyone that the City of Trinidad, Department of Nature Conservancy, and Trust and Public Lands together received the Sarburst Award from the Colorado Lottery for best uses of lottery money with the Crazy French Ranch. He also announced he would be seeking re-election in the upcoming Fall 2019 elections. Tarrah Lowry shared with members the services offered to the community by the Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Along with being the only inpatient hospice in the region, they also employee 241 individuals in the region and provide $376,000 in charity care.
