Firemen Fill the Boot for MDA, raise $12,881 at Las Animas Grill

Firefighters from Trinidad Fire Department greeted the public on Friday, August 30 at Las Animas Grill with beer and fireman’s boots. The boots were used to collect donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), with a portion of the proceeds from the beer sales for the night also going to help the cause. Trinidad Fire Department Captain Kenney Baker and Las Animas Grille owner Jay Gonzalez organized the event. Baker said his department raised $12,881.75 for MDA over the weekend.
