Las Animas County retirees honored at reception for longtime service, dedication

Many of the Las Animas County employees gathered together on Thursday, Jan. 9 to congratulate their three friends on the longstanding careers they have held with the county. County commissioners and administration were also present to extend their gratitude. Pictured above left, (L-R) along the back are Valerie Eklund, Nora Sanchez, Teresa Garrison, Michelle Kendall, Mary Olguin, and Laura Ringo. On the front row (L-R) are Arlene Lopez, Pauline Menepace, and Bernice Renner. Celebrating a combined total of 118 years in service to the county as Las Animas County employees (L-R) Arlene Lopez with 40 years, Pauline Menepace with over 46 years and Bernice Renner with 31 years of service to the county. All of the ladies mentioned how pleased they were to have been able to serve the citizens of Las Animas County and found their work rewarding.
