The Center for Community Innovation

The Center for Community Innovation (formerly Center for Sustainable Community) in Raton provides leadership, builds partnerships and enables innovation necessary to reestablish local food and energy production and strengthen educational systems.

On Saturday, September 7 at 1 p.m. the Raton Center for Community Innovation will host a recruitment event in partnership with GrowRaton to see what business ideas are ready for the next steps of attending the free “Start. Grow. Revive” (SGR) workshop series.

Community Economic Development Coordinator for GrowRaton! Patricia Duran said these workshops are, “for entrepreneurs that are in the idea stage of launching a business.”

“The recruitment event will go in-depth into the curriculum of the workshops,” said Duran, “and give people an understanding of the amount of work that will go into these workshops.”

These hands-on workshops for entrepreneurs and business owners wanting to scale up will be split up into four, two-day workshops spread over the next four months and teach business skills as well as provide networking opportunities with other successful business owners.

“These workshops are open to all locals in the region and are free to attend,” said Duran.
