COLORADO SPRINGS — Phil Long Dealerships owned by members of the Cimino family (of Trinidad note) now has two additional owners. Kevin Shaughnessy, vice president of operations, and Shawn Flynn, chief operating officer, both previously managing partners, recently became minority owners of Phil Long Dealerships, Inc., and the only non-family members to the current ownership team.
Both Shaughnessy and Flynn have accomplished tenures with Phil Long Dealerships, and have been instrumental in its growth. With over 40-plus years of collective experience with the Cimino family and now as minority owners of the dealership group, they provide connectivity and continuity across Enterprise business lines.
“We are extremely fortunate and proud to have Kevin and Shawn carry out Phil Long Dealership’s 100-year commitment to the community,” said Jay Cimino. “Their passion to serve our employees, customers, and our community will drive us well into the future.”
Shaughnessy’s automotive career started in 1990. He has a track record of growing sales volume, customer satisfaction, service department volume, and overall store profitability. He joined Phil Long Dealerships in 2006 as the general sales manager at Phil Long Ford of Denver and in 2011, was promoted to general manager of the dealership. Two years later, Shaughnessy became managing partner of Phil Long Ford of Denver. Flynn joined Phil Long in 1992 as an IT technician and held various managerial roles leading to his promotion of IT Director in 2002. In 2006, his role expanded to include director of e-commerce and in 2012, Flynn was promoted to chief marketing officer of Phil Long Dealerships and president of AdPro 360, an advertising agency of Phil Long Enterprise which he built from the ground up. AdPro 360 serves clients nationwide. In 2014, Flynn became a partner in AdPro 360 and in 2018, he took on his current role of chief operating officer, overseeing risk management, IT, human resources, corporate communications, general managers, and variable and fixed operations.
