The Primero School District held its annual science and engineering fair on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Roughly 70 elementary, middle school, and high school students participated this year in the annual Primero Science Fair.

Over a dozen community members volunteered their time to judge the large group of projects.

“The selection of 19 projects to advance to Regional competition is quite a jump from last year; because we had so many strong projects qualify, we are sending almost four times as many Primero students to represent us in La Junta,” said Science Fair Club co-sponsor Ruth Stodghill. “We are looking forward to traveling to the Arkansas Valley Regional Science and Engineering Fair and showing the hard work the students have been engaged in this school year.”
