The male victim of this weekend’s shooting in Weston, identified as Armando Gallegos age 19, died after being transported to a Colorado Springs hospital and three have been detained in connection with the murder.
A female was also injured in the shooting, but was treated at a Mt. San Rafael Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations, who is investigating the incident with the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office, has not released her identity.
The three suspects were captured in the hours following the shooting during a traffic stop in Las Animas County and are currently being held at the Las Animas County jail.
The first of the three suspects is 20-year-old Oscar Botell-Serrano. He faces charges of first-degree murder, first-degree assault, attempt to commit murder in the first-degree and conspiracy.
The other two suspects, 19-year-old Aleesha Duran and 21-year-old John Michael Kindle, face charges of accessory to murder in the first-degree and conspiracy.
