City crew works fast to clean up statue after vandals strike popular bronze for second time

City work crews were quick to get out on top of the unidentified vandals who once again struck the bronze statue of Kit Carson that lives in Kit Carson Park. This is the second time this summer the artwork has been targeted by vandalism describing the monument as an atrocity. In a previous incident of vandalism to the statue, Mayor Phil Rico admonished the perpetrators of the crime for their actions.
