Tuesday’s winter storm made travel on I-25 dangerous through Wednesday

A winter storm comprised of snow and freezing rain on Tuesday crippled traffic on I-25 Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. This overturned pickup truck was found unattended in the southbound lanes of I-25 near mile marker six late Wednesday morning. On Tuesday night accidents and poor travel conditions brought traffic on the interstate to a standstill and closed the highway temporarily for several hours with the Colorado Department of Transportation reporting icy and snow packed roads as well as high winds.
