Two shootings were reported in Trinidad last Thursday, Jan. 14. One, police say, was self-inflicted, a second landed one man in the hospital.
Sheriff deputies on Jan. 14 found a man on Camillus St. who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The man was identified as 32-year-old Andrew Whatley of Trinidad and he was airlifted to an area hospital.
Deputies believe Whatley was in a confrontation with an unidentified suspect that fled in a dark-colored SUV, according to All Things 81082. No arrest has been made in connection with the incident.
A second shooting on Thursday, Jan. 14, also resulted in a fatality as police found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest. Police believe the wound was self-inflicted.
