Trinidad Police Department responded to just over 400 calls for service between Thursday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 9 including a shooting, multiple hit and runs, burglaries and domestic calls.

Tammie Ann Borrego, 45, was charged with assault in the third degree for an incident alleged to have happened Wednesday, June 2. She was given a $1500 cash or surety bond and is due virtually in Las Animas County Court for an appearance of counsel Monday, June 14.

Sergio Martinez Herrera, 19, was charged with driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, driving while his license was under restraint and failing to use a turn signal for an incident alleged to have happened Monday, June 7. He bonded out of the Las Animas County Detention Center Wednesday, June 9 on a cash surety bond of $1000 – it is unclear when he is due in Las Animas County Court.

Xaiver Angel Lovato, 20, was charged with criminal attempt of assault in the second degree, criminal mischief and reckless driving for an incident alleged to have happened Thursday, June 3. He bonded out of the Las Animas County Detention Center Sunday, June 6 on a $5000 cash or surety bond.  He is due in Las Animas County District Court Tuesday, June 15 for a return filing of charges.

Mason Lee Pinckaers, 47, was charged with assault in the third degree, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and domestic violence for an incident alleged to have happened Sunday, June 6. He bonded out of the Las Animas County Detention Center Sunday, June 6 on a cash or surety bond of $3,500. He is due in Las Animas County Court Thursday, June 17 for an appearance of counsel.

Joshua Trujillo, 19, was charged with false imprisonment and third-degree assault for an incident alleged to have happened between Wednesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 20. He bonded out of the Las Animas County Detention Center Monday, June 7 on a $1,500 cash or surety bond. He is due in Las Animas County Court Wednesday, June 30 for an appearance on bond.

Mark Andrew Munguia Jr, 39, was charged with assault in the second degree and menacing for an incident alleged to have happened Tuesday, April 13. He was booked into the Las Animas County Detention Center and given a $20,000 cash or surety bond. He is due in Las Animas County District Court for an appearance of counsel Wednesday, June 23.

Jesse Gabriel Ortiz, 47, was charged with assault in the third degree and domestic violence for an incident that is alleged to have occurred November 8, 2020. He was given a cash or surety bond of $3500 and is due in Las Animas County Court Thursday, June 17 for an appearance of counsel.

Chad Maez was released on $25,000 bond for a failure to appear charge Wednesday, June 9.

Kelly Dee Coon was released on no bail for a failure to comply charge Wednesday, June 9.

Michael Jacob Ledoux was released on $15,000 bond Wednesday, June 9 for charges of failure to appear, criminal impersonation, identity theft and tampering with a witness or a victim.

Dominique Devynn Niko Romero was released on $750 bond for a failure to appear charge Saturday, June 5.

Cameron Tyler Baucom was released on $1500 bond Monday, June 7 for a failure to comply charge.

Rachel May Martinez was released on time served for a charge of possession of handguns by juveniles Tuesday, June 8.

 Eric Trujillo, 66, who had been found deceased during a welfare check at 106 Aguilar Court Thursday, May 6 was found to have died as the result of methamphetamine intoxication, according to an autopsy report. It added that hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease were other significant conditions in the accidental death.
