I am writing to express appreciation to Father Steve Murray and Father Issac Kariuki, for having led the parish through the coronavirus pandemic with grace and compassion.
During the initial “Stay at Home” phase, all church services were cancelled. This disruption affected daily masses in addition to the cancellation of the Easter Triduum, first Holy Communion and Confirmation sacraments. This did not stop the good shepherds of Most Holy Trinity church, who worked diligently to continue to provide services via live stream, videos and radio broadcasts.
Their work did not end when the “Safer at Home” phase allowed churches to open for a small amount of parishioners. They developed a “Safer at Church” plan by implementing social distancing, temperature checks and sanitizing pews in between masses. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have made these changes possible.
I would also like to thank Father Murray for his excellent and thoughtful leadership during this pandemic. A sincere “thank you” to Fr. Issac for providing masses during the early weeks of May, so that we might receive Communion again.
