On Thursday, Feb.1 the Hoehne High School Lady Farmers hosted the Crowley County Lady Chargers and shredded them 59-39.
Senior Lady Farmer power forward, Shaelyn Walton, led the team with 26 points on offense and was the rebounding leader for the team on defense. Walton accounted for nearly half the team’s points.
Sophomore Lady Farmer and three-point aficionado, Averie Navarette scorched the bucket from distance with four threes and added two more for 14 points on the night.
Junior Kamryn Baca-Cordova also scored double digits with 11 points for the Lady Farmers. Senior Jessalyn Guzzo banked in six points, while senior Jaylyn Tortorelli earned a point from the free throw line.
The next night (Friday, Feb. 2), the Lady Farmers continued to surge by beating the Las Animas Trojans 34-33 on the road.
Up next for the Lady Farmers is a trip to Fowler Feb. 8 at 4 p.m.
