Primero High School sent five students to Otero Junior College on February. 4 to compete in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) district competition. All five students placed in their respective categories, qualifying to advance to the state FBLA competition in Aurora on April 18-20.
The Primero Bulldogs won by a score of 48 to 32 on the road in a non-league game against the Moffat Cowboys on Thursday, February 17. Senior Michael Damelio led the way in point-scoring, earning a total of 23 by the end of the game.

Alberta LaVern Sanchez (Heimer) born January 23, 1931, peacefully passed away February 14, 2022 at the age of 91 in the presence of family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Trinidad Police Department responded to or initiated some 479 calls between Thursday, Feb. 10 and Wednesday, Feb. 23, including harassment calls, fireworks and a report of a fire. It had some 252 calls between February 10 and February 16 and some 227 calls between February 17 and February 23.
