Elizabeth J Massarotti, age 90, passed away on March 14, 2022, at the Mount Saint Francis Assisted Living in Colorado Springs Colorado. Viewing will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with recitation of the Rosary at noon, followed by the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Complete obit to follow. Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.

Colorado Senate passes sales tax relief for small businesses

Colorado’s Senate approved a bill on March 14 that aims to save small businesses money by increasing the percentage they can keep of the state’s vendor fee. Senate Bill 22-006, also known as the Sales Tax Assistance for Small Business Act, would allow small businesses with less than $100,000 in annual taxable sales to retain 5.3% of the state’s vendor fee beginning in 2023 rather than the 4% figure they can retain currently.
