DENVER — In an effort to help communities co-exist with bears, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is pleased to announce a unique funding opportunity aimed at reducing human and bear conflicts. CPW will be offering up to $1 million that it will distribute through a grant process this spring to be used on projects that reduce conflicts.
Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) announced it has awarded $1.2 million to a land trust for the purchase of nearly 18,000 acres of shortgrass prairie in Bent County that is expected to contribute to a larger effort to preserve land in the southeast portion of the state.
