Patrica JoAnn Danielson

Patrica JoAnn Danielson finished her time here on earth on 03/19/2022. Born 03/20/1933 into a loving family in the ranching business around Thatcher Colorado. She grew up on horses and loved them all her life. At 15 she was the Fair Queen at the Arkansas Valley Fair in Rocky Ford and her hometown Trinidad Rodeo and Round-Up in 1949. She stated this was the highlight of her young life.

This Sunday Christians celebrate the most significant event in human history — the day God raised Jesus from the dead

This week, we will watch our squealing children sprint through the grass, baskets swinging, in search of brightly colored eggs among the bluebonnets, buttercups and Indian paintbrushes. For the first time in three years churches will gather to celebrate Easter without COVID fears or restrictions. Just as the scenic grounds at the Masters were packed with patrons, we look forward to churches filled with worshipers singing songs of joy.

Neighborhood sex offender, Internet predator with multiple victims receives 3 years DOC prison time, 10 years probation under plea agreement

A convicted sex offender will spend the next three years in the Department of Corrections and serve a decade of probation after pleading guilty to two sex offenses this week. Daniel Lee Rivera (22) pled guilty to attempted sexual assault of a child (a class five felony) and internet luring of a child with intent to exploit (a class four felony) under a plea agreement with the Third Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
