Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Grape Sauce 4 cups red and/or green grapes 1/4 pounds pork tenderloin, trimmed 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots 1/2 cup Madeira, (see Shopping Tip) or white wine 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme, or 1 teaspoon dried 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons water 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch Position racks in the middle and lower third of oven; preheat to 425 degrees F. Place grapes on a rimmed baking sheet.

Traveling through the various wine countries of the world live and in person or online, one can see grapes of every shape, size and color hanging in glorious profusion along the vine rows soaking up the rays of sunshine required for them to develop their sugar content. Each variety of grape — with its own unique and specific characteristics — will be harvested and used at the precise time to produce tasty offerings for thirsty consumers.

The City of Trinidad recently posted the following notice regarding junk accumulation on private property, addressed to all property owners, lessees or occupants. It states that it is “your duty to ensure that junk does not accumulate on your property.” Junk such as what’s shown here in the Allendale neighborhood constitutes a nuisance, and “should it become necessary for the City to abate the nuisance, the owner of the property will incur all costs associated with the removal of the junk together with a $1,000 administrative fee.” In addition, the property owner is also subject to a $300 per day maximum fine.

Rescue parties found a 60-yearold woman Sunday, after she went missing from the Cordova Pass Campground Saturday afternoon. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office reported in a Facebook post Sunday that the unidentified woman was in “good health” after being found by members of the Las Animas County Search and Rescue Team and the Huerfano County Search and Rescue Team.

Wayward drivers trying to navigate Trinidad streets devoid of lane and directional markings will soon get a break. It’s going on two years since the lines were repainted on Main Street and other well-traveled roads, and complaints are adding up. But the city says help is on the way.
