Funeral Services will be held Thursday day July 7, 2022 at 2 PM at the First Christian Church with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating. Private family inurnment at a later date. Complete obit to follow. Pork Tenderloin with Roasted Grape Sauce 4 cups red and/or green grapes 1/4 pounds pork tenderloin, trimmed 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots 1/2 cup Madeira, (see Shopping Tip) or white wine 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme, or 1 teaspoon dried 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons water 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch Position racks in the middle and lower third of oven; preheat to 425 degrees F. Place grapes on a rimmed baking sheet.

Clean up weeds, junk or face huge fines

The City of Trinidad recently posted the following notice regarding junk accumulation on private property, addressed to all property owners, lessees or occupants. It states that it is “your duty to ensure that junk does not accumulate on your property.” Junk such as what’s shown here in the Allendale neighborhood constitutes a nuisance, and “should it become necessary for the City to abate the nuisance, the owner of the property will incur all costs associated with the removal of the junk together with a $1,000 administrative fee.” In addition, the property owner is also subject to a $300 per day maximum fine.

Missing Texan woman found after disappearing from Cordova Pass Campground

Rescue parties found a 60-yearold woman Sunday, after she went missing from the Cordova Pass Campground Saturday afternoon. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office reported in a Facebook post Sunday that the unidentified woman was in “good health” after being found by members of the Las Animas County Search and Rescue Team and the Huerfano County Search and Rescue Team.
