A woman is in custody after allegedly spraying a crowd at Trinidad’s annual Fourth of July fireworks show with mace. About 15 minutes into the fireworks show Monday night, a woman, identified as Korie Howlett (24) by Trinidad Police Department, reportedly sprayed pepper spray on people sitting in the Central Park Grandstand as the city shot off shell after shell for its Independence Day celebration.
Helen M. Armijo (Moose), Age 82, passed away on Tuesday June 28th surrounded by family. She was born in Trinidad, Colorado on May 7, 1940 to John B. Armijo (Freckles) and Jennie S. Armijo. She was raised in a large loving family with 10 brothers and sisters. She was a strong woman, often stubborn, but she was very protective of her family and friends.
