In the article titled “Laborer retention remains issue at local mine, company trains more locals in long-term bid” in the Wednesday, Aug. 10 edition of The Chronicle-News the article indicated that the mine saw a 20% decline in production. This is incorrect. It should have indicated due to equipment availability, the mine lost around 20% of available production time, but the mine’s coal output increased quarter-over-quarter.

Trinidad considers reducing cultivation fees as local marijuana industry struggles

Benjamin Mandile Reporter The Chronicle-News In a bid to help Trinidadbased marijuana cultivators, the City of Trinidad is discussing how it can reduce its cultivator fees to give relief to a heavily taxed industry along with allowing delivery of marijuana. Trinidad City Council decided at a June 21 meeting, during which an emergency ordinance to temporarily reduce fees was denied, that it wanted more information about the situation before deciding how to address it.
