N.M. Congressional Democrats secure $2.5B in aid for New Mexicans impacted by Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fires

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and U.S. Representatives Teresa Leger Fernández (D-N.M.) and Melanie Stansbury (DN. M.) secured $2.5 billion to support New Mexico residents and business owners impacted by this year’s Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fires.

Longtime TSD1 employees Ruscetti, Vasques retire, recognized for dedicated service by school board

Trinidad schools will see two less faces in the hallways with the retirement of two longtime employees. Kim Ruscetti, who served as an administrative assistant, and Fred Vasquez, who served as a custodian, were both recognized for their service by the Trinidad School District No.

Trinidad buzzes with activity during special downtown events

Downtown Trinidad saw a buzz of activity the night of Thursday, Sept. 29, with two special events being held in the downtown corridor, including the grand opening of Space to Create Trinidad and an open house for the Fox West Theatre. The theatre remains under renovation, but the public poured in and out of the historic building to view and enjoy the two front retail bays. Food, including bruschetta, and tea from Trinidad Tea Co., provided the public refreshment. Over 200 people were estimated to attend the Fox West Theatre Thursday night.
