Mother, son team rehab historic Trinidad home
Nancy Ellis shared photos of her son, Jason, painting the Victorian trim on a Trinidad home. The two-story house at 410 S. Commercial Street was built in 1888 by a brickmaker named T.B. Lucas and has withstood many tests of time over the past 134 years. The original cedar shake dragon-scale trim adorning three sides of the house has endured as well, and recently received a colorful upgrade. Jason Ellis put a bright new face on the Victorian trim after repairing the cedar scales. Despite the fact that he does not enjoy painting, his mother says that Jason did a fantastic job, and the pair plans to put the historic house on the market this fall.
