Crime report for Nov. 16 — Nov. 22: Incidents include accidents, criminal mischief, drugs

The Trinidad Police Department responded to or initiated some 186 incidents between Thursday, Nov. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 22, including accidents, drug use and suspicious people. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office saw 114 incidents during that period, including an auto fire, theft, an accident, residential fire and identity theft.

Third state record brook trout caught in 2022; previous mark had stood for 75 years

LAKE CITY — As Colorado Parks and Wildlife celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2022, it may be long remembered as the year of the brook trout. Only five months after CPW certified a new state record brook trout for the first time in 75 years, the record was again reestablished by Matt Smiley of Lake City.
