The Third Annual Pearl Harbor Gun Show last weekend at Fort Wootton Memorial Square was once again a huge success with over 400 people coming out to see and buy from over 30 vendors who were selling a wide variety of guns, ammunition, knives, crafts, jackets, and militaria.
Trinidad City Council passed a $62.5 million preliminary budget for FY 2023 and set a public hearing for late-December. Council passed the budget, which could still be adjusted due to ongoing union negotiations, 6-0 Tuesday, with one councilmember absent.

The Trinidad Police Department responded to or initiated some 215 incidents between Thursday, Dec. 1, and Wednesday, Dec. 7, including welfare checks, accidents, hit and runs and warrant arrests. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office saw some 112 calls during the same time period, including trespassing, an unattended death, accidents and fights.
