Primero students learn about region’s rich, tragic history during field trip

Primero School District RE-2’s ninth grade Earth Science class learned about the area’s tragic mining history during a field trip to the Southern Colorado Coal Mining Memorial and Museum in Trinidad last month, providing the students a chance to learn about mining and the Ludlow Massacre conducted by the Colorado Fuel & Iron militia.
