Kern, Roadrunner Health Services face civil suit after $600K contract overpayment, inmate death
A former Colfax County manager remains under the gun, along with a medical- services contractor, for improper payments, after the county filed a civil suit against the defendants at the end of last year, claiming that the improper payments the suit alleges occurred over a period of three years. The complaint, filed in New Mexico’s Eighth Judicial District by Mason & Isaacson on behalf of the county, seeks compensatory and punitive damages against former Colfax County Manager Mary Lou Kern and Roadrunner Health Services, LLC., stemming from the alleged overpayment of some $600,000 between 2019 and 2021.
Primero High School’s Lady Bulldogs post big win
On Jan. 13, the Lady Bulldogs played a league game against the Springfield Longhorns at home, losing 45-13. On Jan. 14 the Bulldogs welcomed the John Mall Panthers home for a non-league game winning 49-23.
