THS Miners find win ahead of Christmas break
The Trinidad High School Boys Basketball team found their first win of the season right before Christmas Break on the road against the Swallows Charter Academy 4642. Miner Head Coach Lawrence Sandoval said, “The boys found themselves down early against Swallows Charter Academy on the road and throughout most of the game, but we showed a lot of heart; we kept working, kept fighting and we refused to lay over.

Mighty Miner Head Wrestling Coach Adam Ortivez has his No. 8 Colorado Class 2AA Trinidad High School wrestling team back, building up the strong tradition of the historic wrestling program, which was built since the 1980s by past coaches Rich Lopez — who started the proud Miner wrestling tradition — Juan Vallejos and Roco Begano.
