Cornholers toss to raise, support fireman’s annual toy drive through fun-filled day

Trinidad’s helping-hand attitude continued this holiday season with a recent cornhole tournament that raised money for a local community toy drive. The Fisher’s Peak Cornhole League, with players from New Mexico and Colorado, teamed up with Flo Jo’s Tavern Hall in Trinidad to raise funds for the Trinidad Fireman’s Toy Drive, which is expected to provide toys for children from across Las Animas County this year.

Amtrak has big increase in riders, but still not back to pre-pandemic rider levels

Amtrak saw a big increase in ridership in fiscal year 2022 but is still at 72% of its peak prepandemic levels, according to data the transit company released. The National Railroad Passenger Corporation – Amtrak’s official name – is still not close to full recovery in ticket sales and food and beverage revenue.
