Today we miss you more than ever as you celebrate your 93rd birthday in heaven. Even though we can’t find the words to express our gratitude for all the things you did for us, we will always remember your spirit and how it touched our hearts.

Kathryn Amelia Masero December 1, 1929 - January 20, 2023 Kathryn was born on December 1, 1929 in Trinidad, Colorado. She passed away on January 20, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Trinidad, Colorado.

Della Rivera entered eternal life on January 9, 2023 at the tender age of 93. She was born in Trinidad, CO on September 13, 1929 to Sam Griego and Annie Baca. Della was united in marriage to Bennie Rivera for 70 years. During that time Della worked as a Headstart Teacher for many years and is remembered too many as “Miss Della”. Miss Della was preceded in death by her loving husband Bennie Rivera, parents Sam and Annie, mother-in-law and father-in-law Cecilia and Juan Rivera, sister Priscilla Melzo, brothers Nino Griego, Lalo Griego and Bennie Griego. Also preceding Miss Della are her sons Steven Rivera, Wayne Rivera, Rick Rivera, Rudy Rivera, grand-daughters Laura Garcia, Crystal Rivera Sanchez and grandson Steven Gallegos. Miss Della is survived by Louise and Tom Garcia- Trinidad, CO., Anthony Rivera-Colorado Springs, CO., Veronica (Chuy) Rivera-Pueblo, CO., Adele and Ted Abeyta-Trinidad, CO., daughters-in-law Shirley Rivera-Trinidad, CO., Mona Rivera-Albuquerque, NM., granddaughters and grandsons Donna Garcia, Terese Cole, Tommie Gomez, Melissa Clark, Celeste Rivera Abeyta, Angel Abeyta, Kurtis Rivera, and Rick Rivera Jr. Many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and family friends that were all special to Miss Della. Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinidad, CO. Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
