TSC has plans to fix blighted housing in San Luis Valley
Trinidad State College, which launched a Construction Trades program on its Trinidad campus in 2021, is expanding the program to its Alamosa campus, to continue developing a construction workforce in southeast Colorado, while addressing blighted housing.
Primero wrestlers place in Sierra Grande tournament

HOLLACE GEARLDYNE “GERRI” BEGANO
Hollace Gearldyne “Gerri” Begano, 87, was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Allen and Katharine Peavy on July 27, 1935. Her mother was a Pentecostal preacher and her father a deacon of the church. Appropriately, she spent the first quarter of her life with a strong presence in the church, even singing hymns for the congregation.

KC Fed: Inflation cut incomes, unemployment below national average
While unemployment remained low and below the national average, inflation cut into personal incomes in the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s region. The “10th District Economic Databook” stated the economy contracted slightly during the fourth quarter of 2022 in Colorado, Kansas, western Missouri, Nebraska, northern New Mexico, Oklahoma and Wyoming.
TPD K-9 unit to see $131K improvements to equipment
Trinidad Police Department will see improvements to its fleet of K-9 patrol vehicles after Trinidad City Council approved the $131,000 expenditure. Trinidad City Council approved the $131,618 expenditure 7-0 Tuesday, allowing the local police department to purchase two new K-9 patrol vehicles through its fleet fund.
