Colorado restaurants rally members against ‘Fair Workweek’ bill

The Colorado Restaurant Association is rallying its members to speak out against a bill in the House of Representatives regarding work scheduling. House Bill 23-1118 would require businesses with more than 250 employees and all food or beverage establishments to obtain from employees a written statement of their desired number of weekly work hours and the days and times they’re available to work.

Trinidad City Hall facade becomes city’s latest landmark, opens additional funding opportunities

Trinidad City Hall, serving as a meeting place for city residents for 113-years, has become a Trinidad City Landmark, officially marking its place in the city’s rich history. Trinidad City Council approved the landmarking status 7-0 Tuesday, after the Trinidad Historic Preservation Commission recommended approval mid-December last year.

May-December romance trips on question of having kids

DEAR ABBY: I’m a 67-year-old single white man. My girlfriend is 21 and African-American. We have been together a year and a half and are deeply in love. We have lots of fun together and go out and do things. When we are out together, people often stare at us. She’s very attractive and turns heads. I tell her everyone is looking at her because she is so beautiful, but that’s probably not totally true.
