No one would argue with the fact that there is evil in the world

When my mother was eighty-seven, she called to ask my opinion about some counsel she had received from some well-meaning Christian friends. They told her that the Devil was always present, always beside her, always trying to make her fall. Near the point of tears, she asked if that was true. A widow for thirty-three years, the thought of the Devil constantly beside her, testing her, only served to deepen her sense of loneliness and fear.

Primero junior reps district during state-level poetry competition

Primero High School junior Cade Vigil represented the district on the state-level this month when he competed at the Colorado Poetry Out Loud competition on Wednesday, March 1, in Colorado Springs. Vigil earned the right to represent Primero after winning first place in both his class and school competitions with his poetic recitation of “Siren Song.” “Poetry Out Loud is a humanities and arts education program held each year during National Poetry Month,” said Primero high school English teacher and competition sponsor Patricia Johnson.
