Primero High track takes on windy weather at Cyclone Invite
Primero’s high school track team traveled to Pueblo West to compete in the Cyclone Invitational on Thursday, March 30, and were met with the wind as an additional foe. Primero took five boys to compete, and due to windy weather, the boys were unable to run their best times, but still managed to find a top twelve finish.

Former hometown coach to be inducted into LA Hall of Fame
Mike Maio, formerly of Trinidad, son of John and Edna Maio, will be inducted into the CIF Los Angeles City Section Sports Hall of Fame for baseball in Granada Hills, California on April 16. Maio graduated from Holy Trinity in 1957.
Earth Mountain pitches new garden to local community to expand footprint, impact on city
Trinidad is poised to become a little greener, and tastier, with the addition of a new community agriculture space being pitched to the community. Earth Mountain Education Farm, a nonprofit that promotes local agriculture, plans to build out a 10,000 square foot community garden, which will provide space for the com- munity to grow food, learn more about the food supply chain and have a “safe space” inclusive of all groups.
