Council sparks utility relief with rate adjustments after rate study bungle

Issues with a recent adjustment to Trinidad’s water and sewer rates have been rectified, according to city officials, after the passage of two ordinances amending recent rate increases. The amending ordinances passed city council 7-0 Tuesday, May 2, after city officials notified the public that both a water rate and sewer rate study had led to customers being overcharged for the city-provided services.
