Pam Ezpinoza, chair of the Las Animas County Democrats, addressed the embezzlement allegations regarding the Colorado Secretary of State’s open complaint, listing her as the respondent.
“If you really want to get serious about the problem and get rid of all the undesirables,” citizen Roy Miller said during the Trinidad City Council’s regular meeting Tuesday, Aug. 5. “Back in World War II in Germany, they had it down to a science— ‘The Final Solution.’”
On Friday, Aug. 1, Dawn Garcia was arrested and held under a $30,000 bond after authorities alleged she had smuggled methamphetamine into the Trinidad Correctional Facility to give to an inmate back in mid-June.
During its “unfinished business” portion of the City of Trinidad’s regular meeting on Aug. 5, city officials unanimously voted to rescind the approval of the Trinidad School District No. 1’s GOCO (Great Outdoors Colorado) grant submission on its behalf, following GOCO’s regional manager’s disapproval of the application draft.
