Trinidad Police Department reports significant drug seizures, around 360 pounds, including 160 pounds of fentanyl, in 2024 

On March 19, 2024, Trinidad Police Department officers conducted a traffic on Interstate 25 through Trinidad. They located over 72 pounds of suspected fentanyl and over 29 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, with an estimated 330,000 suspected fentanyl pills.
