1) McDonald’s float, including popular kid favorite the Hamburglar (above left), took first place, winning $200 and a bag of potatoes Saturday, March 12 at the 2nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Trinidad. It wasn’t clear if the potatoes could be used for making fries at the Trinidad store under McDonald’s strict-fry standards. 2) Students at Fishers Peak Elementary School took home second place with prizes of $50 cash and potatoes in the contest for their spectacular all-kid kazoo band. 3) As the participants showed off for the judges, Parade Master Brad Kirby announced the entries during the event Saturday, March 12. 4) Below, a group from State Farm Insurance participates in the day’s event.
