Elizabeth DeCarolis

Elizabeth DeCarolis, 97, was blessed to enter her eternal home on April 15, 2022 in Pueblo, CO where she had made her home for the past 14 years. She was born to Nick and Mary (Sinkovich) Ratkovich in Aguilar, CO, on April 6, 1925.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Aguilar High School. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dominic on November 13, 1946 at Holy Trinity Catholic parish in Trinidad, CO. She was a life time member of Holy Trinity Catholic church. She was a Nurseʼs Aid for 23 years working at Mount San Rafael Hospital and Trinidad State Nursing home where she retired in 1987 and was a member of CAPE.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of her daughters: Patsy Salbato, Bernadette and Wayne Cappellucci, and Bernadine and Greg Geiger; grand children, great grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren: Dustin and Tammy Cappellucci and Bella; Chad and Tanya Hickam, Mariah, Malachi, Drayden and Malachi Jr; Elyssa Cappellucci, Ethan, Lily, and Logan; and Heidi and Rob Villalon, Javyn and RJ; and Tylan and Adam Dudek. Her memory will always be cherished by her special nieces and nephews: Mary Jane and Piff Vigil, and Sharon and Kelly Vecellio as well as great nieces and nephews Joyce Vigil and Bill Martinez; Karri Vecellio, Shawn and Nicole Vecellio; great great nieces and nephew: Anthony Vigil Martinez; Kymberly and James Vecellio Grant; Aubree Vecellio and Parker Vecellio. She is also survived by many other relatives.

Elizabeth was welcomed into her heavenly home by her husband Dominic; parents Nick and Mary; special sisters: Catherine, and Anna Mae, as well Mary, Margaret, and Rose, brothers Nick, Frank, and John. She was also greeted by numerous relatives.

Services will be held in Trinidad, CO. Visitation for Elizabeth will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 9:30 AM with rosary to follow at Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home. Celebration of Catholic Mass will be at 1 PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with internment to follow at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Contributions can be made in Elizabethʼs name to Holy Trinity Academy, Sangre de Christo Hospice, or a no-kill animal shelter of your choice.

The family has entrusted Mullare-Murphy funeral home with the arrangements.
