Our Jared Steven Sanchez gained his angel wings on February 3, 2023 at the age of 40. He was born August 7, 1982 in Trinidad CO. He graduated from Trinidad High School, class of 2001, where he played football and was an avid wrestler.
Jared had a big caring heart and was willing to help any and all. He often asked his mother about our family near and far. He was always concerned about his family and friends as they were always on his mind.
He had a humorous personality with a unique laugh that you could hear miles away. Which will be missed by all that knew him.
He worked many years in the oilfields in Colorado and South Dakota as a roughneck oil rigger which he enjoyed very much, and he also considered himself as a handy man as he had knowledge in many trades. He was an avid antique and knife collector, as well as a knife sharpener.
He enjoyed many outdoor adventures in the mountains with his dad Ernie enjoying the many sights and country rides.
Jared married his soulmate Jeannie Marie Sanchez and he expressed his love for his wife and his children often and openly. Preceeding Jared in death; The love of his life his wife Jeannie Marie Sanchez, his dog’s Kicker and Gogo, grandparents Albert and Josie Duran, Amadeo and Lucy Sanchez, and great Aunt Vee Duran (she was so fond of him), also many uncle’s, aunt’s, and other relatives.
Survivors are his daughters Kalie Sanchez & Vashti Sanchez; step-children Gage, Stormi, & Malachi Sanchez, his rescue dog Girl; parents Berta (Ray) Garcia, Ernest (Candace) Sanchez; brother Stacey (Mileene) Sanchez, sisters Tracy Sue Sanchez, Kim (Adam) Sanchez, Brenda Sanchez, Lucy (Lionel Lucero) Sanchez, Ray (Christine) Garcia; nephews & nieces Brooke (Nick) Gonzales, Lexie (Rico Lopez) Sanchez, AJ (Yuri) Sanchez, Jacy Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez; and great nephews and niece his favorite “Boy” “lil D” Demaryius Gonzales, Rylo Sanchez, Destiny Gonzales & AJ Sanchez lll; numerous uncle’s, aunt’s, cousin’s & friends. He had a very special place in his heart for his dear companions and friends Sam & Jessica Rocha, Samantha “Sammi” Rhoads and Sarah Peat.
On Friday March 3rd, 2023 at 1pm a celebration of life will be held at The First Christian Church, 200 South Walnut Street, Trinidad CO 81082, with Pastor Carrie Nelson officiating. After the services family and friends are welcome to join the family of Jared downstairs at First Christian Church for a meal and chat. Private family interment at a later date.
