Albert Pachelli, age 71, passed away peacefully at Mt. San Rafael Hospital on March 09, 2023. Al was born on Nov. 03, 1951 to Albert and Mary Pachelli. He attended grade school in Weston, CO and 5th grade through 8th grade at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Trinidad. His high school years were at Trinidad High School where he graduated in 1969. He attended Trinidad State Junior College and completed the Auto Body Program in 1971.
Al married his high school sweetheart, Joanne Sudar, in 1973. Together they had two sons, Doug Pachelli and Marty Pachelli.
Al loved sports. He excelled in baseball and loved basketball and golf. He was a member of the Trinidad Golf Association from 1974 to the Present time. He had so many wonderful family members and friends that he played with in golf tournaments and just for fun. He taught both of his sons the sport of golf at a very early age and they played golf together throughout their childhood and their adult lives until Al could no longer play due to his health.
Al also loved hunting and fishing. He was a family man, always spending weekends with his family on outings together.
Al excelled as a paint and body man and had his own body shop which he operated until 1977. He loved Street Rod Cars and began building his first street rod in 1982 when he found and purchased a 1937 Ford Coupe that he restored to great beauty. His street rod friends and community were a lot of fun through many years.
Al began his career with United Parcel Service (UPS) in 1977 and was a Feeder Semi Driver and package delivery driver for 10 years. He was promoted to management and managed the Trinidad UPS Center for 20 years in addition to many assignments throughout the state of Colorado. He retired in 2007. He loved his work and respected his drivers and co-workers.
Al and Joanne were blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Nickolas, Walker and Keira. Al loved every moment he had with them and their love for him as ”Papa“ as well.
Al is survived by his loving wife Joanne, his sons Douglas and Martin (Glenna), his grandchildren Nickolas.
Walker, and Keira. He is also survived by his sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Al will be greatly missed by his family who loved him with all of their hearts!
A funeral mass will be held Friday March 17 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial following at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetary. A celebration of Al’s life will follow at the Trinidad Golf Course for family and friends.
