Albert Gauna, 95 of Trinidad, Colorado passed away on February 20, 2023 of natural causes at his home. He was born August 22, 1927 in Troy, CO to Filberto Gauna and Sinforosa Montoya Gauna. Albert married the love of his life Mary H. Gurule and together the raised their five children.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, his wife, son James and all of his siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his children Eugene Gauna of Trinidad, Frances (Gary) Romero of Commerce City, CO, Susan Bernadette (Don) Vigil of Wichita, Kansas, Larry (Maggie) Gauna of Pueblo, Colorado, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held at Comi Chapel Wednesday, March 1 from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Rosary will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Thursday, March 2 at 12:30pm followed by mass at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Catholic Cemetery.
