Alfonso Romero Jr., age 65 was called to heaven on July 6, 2022. He lived in Mesa, Arizona at the time of his passing. He was born on October 20, 1956 in Trinidad CO to his loving parents Alfonso Sr and Rafelita ( Herrera) Romero.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Christine Romero, sons: Carlos (Tina) Romero, Vince ( Shelly) Romero, and Erik Romero. Grand children are Issiah (Marisa) Romero, Isabella, Emma, and Evana Romero. Great grandson infant Harrison Romero. Brothers are Jerry (Elena) Romero, Mike (Yolanda) Romero. Sisters are Jennie Garduno, Mary Smith, Lorraine (Steve) Mascarenas, and Elaine Romero. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, brothers: Tony Espinosa, Leo Espinosa, Alfredo Romero, Antonio Romero, infant Jose Romero, and sister Patricia Mascarenas as well as many other relatives.

Junior attended Trinidad public schools and graduated from Trinidad High School.

He was strong and fought a tough battle to the end against cancer. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his friends, and his spiritual faith.

A celebration of his life will be held on August 13th at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church, 200 S. Walnut St. in Trinidad.
