On Oct. 7, local artist Autumn Hunnicutt opened her exhibit, “Longing,” in the main gallery space in the Galleria located next to First National Bank on Main St. in Trinidad. The large portraits in the collection depict Hunnicutt, her mother, and grandmothers set against a New Mexico backdrop. Hunnicutt grew up in Raton and after high school attended New Mexico State and Washington State University focusing on art. She now lives and works in Trinidad.
