Trinidad Housing Authority considers potential acquisition of former Phil Long Dealership property 

Phil Long Dealerships announced in early May that it would officially close its dealership location in Trinidad on the first of the following month. On June 11, just 10 days after the site officially closed, the Trinidad Housing Authority discussed the potential acquisition of the former dealership property for a new admin building and shop, along with a High St. Property to add additional units to its 198-unit roster.

Rep. Winter talks ‘successful’ 2025 legislative session, bridging rural needs with state statute 

Despite a Democrat majority in the House and Senate, Republican state representative for Colorado’s House District 47, which includes counties such as Las Animas, Otero, Huerfano, and Bent, Ty Winter, was able to pass key pieces of legislation, which he claimed would benefit the communities and people he represents.

A car crash back on June 4, 2021, sent Kaylah Crosson “KC” and her older sister on flight-for-life to Colorado Springs. The ultra-competitive preteen heading into her freshmen year, with a bright volleyball and basketball future, was suddenly faced with the possibility of losing her ability to do what she loved most — proving she was the absolute best on the court.
