Colorado attorney general pressures Kia, Hyundai to improve vehicle security

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is among 23 attorneys general who are pressing auto manufacturers Kia and Hyundai to improve the security of their vehicles from auto thefts. The group of attorneys general sent a letter on Monday to officials for the companies, citing consumer harm from high rates of thefts among Kia and Hyundai vehicles.

Bustang expands to include Trinidad to Pueblo route

Las Animas County residents have additional options for travelling within Colorado with the expansion of the Colorado Department of Transportation Bustang Outrider service, which will be operated through the South-Central Council of Governments. The expanded service will provide riders ride-share transportation fromTrinidadtoPueblo,along with stops in Aguilar, Walsenburg and Colorado City.

Trinidad council reassumes lager role in commission process, nixes 2018 appointment amendments

Trinidad City Council will assume a larger role in filling its boards and commissions, after it unanimously approved a resolution to reestablish a pre-2018 appointment process. “Because of quasi-judicial considerations and in the best interest of fairness and transparency, a resolution is proposed to restore the process to City Council (sic) interviews and appointments without recommendation from the board which the citizen is seeking appointment,” Audra Garrett, Trinidad city clerk, wrote to council.
